COLLECTIONS:
Fogelson Library houses a collection
of over 150,000 books, periodicals, recordings, videos and electronic resources.
Specialized collections include the Curriculum Library, Archives, Rare Books,
Southwest, and musical recordings. Books are located on three floors in the
library using the Library of Congress system.

Reference & current periodicals
SERVICES: Circulation & Reserve
- Circulation
privileges may be obtained from the staff at the Circulation Desk. A library
barcode will be affixed to your college ID card. Faculty members may place
course-related materials on reserve at the Circulation desk. An ID will be
required in order to check out these items. Most reserves do not leave the
library and may be borrowed for 2 hours.
Reference - Reference help
is available from the staff or by appoinment with a professional librarian.
In addition to standard print resources and indices, we have available a variety
of electronic resources for current students, faculty and staff. Please visit
our resources page.
Interlibrary Loan - We offer
Interlibrary Loan service for the CSF community only. ILL forms are available
near the Circuation Desk or items may be ordered through email at illoan@csf.edu.
You may also submit a ILL request online. In addition,
we participate in the state-wide Passport system which allows CSF students,
staff, and faculty to obtain borrowing priviledges at other New Mexico college
and university libraries.
Library Instruction - Introduction
to the use of the library, advanced research skills and Internet instruction
are offered by professional librarians throughout the semester. Please call
the reference desk at 473-6594 to schedule.
RESEARCH:
Books - If you're looking for a book, start with our online
catalog. You may search by subject, keyword, author, or title.
Journals - The Library subscribes to over 400 journals in paper and
many more are available electronically through subscription databases. See
our periodicals holdings database (must have
Excel to view).
Specialized indices - The library subscribes to several index titles,
including Humanites Index, Business Periodicals Index, Art
Index, and Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature. The ERIC database,
maintained by the US Department of Education is available on the Internet.

The library
staff is always available
to provide assistance to aid you with your research. Ask us to show you how
to use various library resources and how to find the information you need.
